The 14^th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, held from 19^th to 23^rd January 2026, concluded successfully in Hanoi. On these days when the entire Party, People and army welcomed such great political event, the Congress received nearly 900 congratulatory letters and messages from international political parties, organisations, friends and overseas Vietnamese communities. This was such a great source of encouragement and inspiration, and a vivid manifestation of the friendly cooperative relation between our Party and the international political parties, organisations and friends, also a connection from the overseas Vietnamese people to the country. The National Defence Journal respectfully introduces some of these letters and messages as follows:

The congratulatory message from Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee said: The 14^th National Party Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam is a great political event of the entire Party, State and People of Vietnam, a development milestone in the new period of Vietnamese revolution. The 14^th National Party Congress has outlined policies and goals to continuously develop the cause of comprehensive innovation into a synchronous, wide and deep system in order to bring the country into a new era – the era of national rise of Vietnam.

Overview of the 14th National Party Congress

We surely believe that under the sensible and ingenious leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the brotherly Vietnamese people continue to obtain a variety of newer and greater achievements, and successfully implement the resolution of the 14^th National Party Congress of Vietnam. On such an important occasion, we would like to express our sincere gratitude and deep appreciation for the Vietnamese Communist Party, State and People, who have always given the Lao Party, State and People support which was huge, precious, wholehearted, righteous, effective and punctual in our struggle for national liberation in the past, and the cause of safeguarding and developing the country at present as well.

The congratulatory message from The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China said: The 14^th National Party Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam is an important event, which was held at a crucial time when the Communist Party of Vietnam and the entire Vietnamese people have been working on the goals of achievements, celebrating the 100^th anniversary of the establishment of the Communist Party of Vietnam. We believe that, the Congress is the one of unity and victories; the Vietnamese people, under the resilient leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, will successfully achieve all goals and tasks of building and developing the Party and the country.

The Chinese Party and State highly appreciate the development of the relations between the two parties and two countries, together with Vietnam readily raise the motto of “friendly neighbours, comprehensive cooperation, long-term stability, towards the future” and the spirit of “good neighbours, good friends, good comrades, good partners”; grasp and well implement the general agreement made by the leaders of the two parties and two countries; based on the general goals of “6 mores”, enhance the strategic construction of the community of shared future of China – Vietnam, which is fruitful and able to bring a better future for the two countries and their people, importantly contributing to the stability and development of the region, and the cause of peace and progress for the mankind.

The congratulatory message from The Cambodian People’s Party Central Committee said: The Cambodian People’s Party really admire the great achievements on all fields that the Vietnamese Communist Party, Government and People have gained in the past years under the right and ingenious leadership by the Communist Party of Vietnam led by General Secretary To Lam, an excellent leader. Especially, it is the public administrative reform and the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13^th Party Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam that help Vietnam gain certain development in many fields, people’s life be gradually improved, the position of Vietnam in the region and in the international arena have been significantly improved. The Cambodian People’s Party is happy with the continuous development of the friendship, traditional solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two parties, two governments and the People of the two countries based on the motto of good neighbours, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainability.

The congratulatory message from The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba said: In the context of complicated situation in the world, we highly appreciate the sensible and resilient leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam on the way of building the socialism in the brotherly Vietnam. We are proud of the active achievements that the Communist Party of Vietnam has obtained during the period of renovation. The year of 2026 is seen as an important milestone of the 40-year period of renovation. This is the precious experience in terms of the economic transformation for Cuba to follow. We would like to express our sincere gratitude and deep appreciations for the precious accompany and support by the Communist Party of Vietnam to Cuba in our cause of safeguarding the Fatherland, especially in the struggle for the lift of the embargo for over the past six decades.

On the occasion of the 100^th birthday anniversary of Commander-in-chief Fidel Castro, and based on the strong solidarity between the people of the two countries, and the precious heritages left by leaders Fidel Castro and Ho Chi Minh, we once again affirm the determination of bringing the specially solid relations and the friendship between the two parties to a higher level

The congratulatory message from The Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea said: The Korean Workers' Party Central Committee warmly congratulates the 14^th National Party Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. In the past few years, the Communist Party of Vietnam has led the Vietnamese people to achieve great victories in the cause of building the rich and prosperous socialist country. We believe that the 14^th National Party Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam will become a crucial milestone in enhancing the construction of the Party, reinforcing and developing the state and social systems suitably with the requirements of the new era.

The congratulatory message from The Communist Party of the Russian Federation said: The Congress is an important event, marking a new period of implementing the policies and building the country. With the collective intelligence, the Congress will profoundly and comprehensively evaluate the results and achievements that the Communist Party of Vietnam has gained with its endeavour and creativity during the past 5 years. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam – a battle-tested vanguard, Vietnam has been confidently implementing resolutions of congresses, creating a solid foundation for the development, progress, and creativity both in domestic and foreign affairs. The Communist Party of Russian Federation is always proud and ready to continually cooperate with the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The congratulatory message from The Communist Party of India said: The Communist Party of India has followed and admired the great achievements of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam under the leadership of the Vietnamese Communist Party. These achievements have significantly contributed to raising the living standards for Vietnamese people, and cementing the path of socialist-oriented development.

The congratulatory message from The Communist Party of France said: The Communist Party of France pledges to further enhance the friendly relations and cooperation between the two parties and People of the two countries. The heritages left by President Ho Chi Minh, a founding member of the French Communist Party, are the inspiration for the friendship between the two parties. The values of solidarity, peace and progress that we share are the precious asset in the strongly changing world.

The congratulatory message from The African National Congress (ANC) said: The African National Congress sends wishes from comrades whose the history of the two parties has been long connected. We wish that the resolution of the 14^th National Party Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam would reinforce the solidarity, sharpen the strategic view, and enhance the prosperity and social progress for the Vietnamese People. We also wish the Communist Party of Vietnam would continue to be a lighthouse of sovereignty, development and internationalism in the Southern hemisphere.
